Francesco is Chief Operating Officer and Partner with Azimuth Capital Management. As a senior member of the Azimuth team, Francesco assists in the origination and execution of new portfolio investments and plays a role in potential follow-on investments for current Azimuth portfolio companies.  Francesco’s background provides added value to the Azimuth team through his legal analysis, due diligence and financial modeling of opportunities.

Prior to joining Azimuth in 2008, Francesco was a Managing Director of Global Investment Banking for a Canadian national bank dealer, where he negotiated, structured and priced both public and private equity financings in energy transition, technology, and oil and gas companies. Francesco also worked on numerous mergers & acquisitions transactions, which together with the equity financings aggregated in value in excess of $2.5 billion.

 

Prior to investment banking, Francesco practiced in the general area of corporate and commercial law, with emphasis in the areas of taxation and securities law for a Canadian national law firm.

Francesco holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Biochemistry), a Master of Business Administration, as well as a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta. Francesco represents Azimuth as a Director on the boards of Altex Energy Ltd., Corex Resources Ltd., Entrada Resources Inc., and M-Flow Technologies Ltd.

Francesco spends most of his free time with his young family cycling or hiking in the summer and skiing or playing hockey in the winter.
